Pakistan Cricket Board, on Tuesday, confirmed that seven more cricketers Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hasnain, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, and Imran Khan have tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total count to ten ahead of their England tour. Yesterday, Shadab Khan, Haider Ali, and Haris Rauf had tested positive. Along with ten players, one of the management members Malang Ali also tested positive.
The players who tested negative will undergo another round of tests on 25th June before leaving for England while the players who have tested positive will immediately undergo a period of self-isolation, monitored by PCB medical panel. If the affected players test negative twice after quarantine, they will depart for UK on commercial flight.
Despite the setback, it is reported that the England tour will continue as usual.
