COVID-19 In Pakistan: Country records the lowest number of deaths and those on the ventilator.

Pakistan, on the 31st of August, 2020 records the lowest number of deaths since April, 2020. This comes in a major success for the Government as their strategy of smart-lockdowns and the application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) seems to become a major success.

Pakistan currently has less than 100 Patients on ventilator(s), and on 31st of August, 2020 – Pakistan also reported the nation’s lowest death rate since April in which a single individual lost their life due to COVID-19.

While it is certainly great news for Pakistan especially all stake-holders including Medical Staff that helped in the recovery of Patients. It gives Pakistan ample time to prepare for a second wave if it is to come, as critics have observed people in different parts of Pakistan are not observing social distancing and wearing masks.

Their worry may come true but for now it is indeed a great news that the number of COVID-19 patients in Pakistan are declining.
