Artificial Intelligence is no doubt on the biggest buzzwords in the current atmosphere of technological progress. Nonetheless, an aspect of its ethical usage comes up from time to time. With people like Elon Musk calling AI as a potential destroyer of humanity, ethical domains for this field need to be discussed and researched upon.
On those foundations, Junaid Qadir and Amana Raquib from ITU (Information Technology University, Lahore) and IBA (Institute of Business Administration, Karachi) respectively conducted groundbreaking academic research. Motivated by Facebook’s partnership with Centre for Civil Society and Governance of The University of Hong Kong to help such researches, Junaid and Amana joined as well.
Junaid states that Islamic legal tradition served as a baseline for his research and the proposed framework will harness these laws to the fullest.
