Ratti Gali Lake is a lake located in Neelam Valley, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Furthermore, the marvellous Ratti Gali Lake height is more than 12000 ft. above sea-level making it one of the highest tourist spots in the country for your next trip.

Interestingly, It got its name from the fact that it is surrounded by red mountains, which loosely found its translation as Ratti.

It needs to be noted that Azad Kashmir is undoubtedly famous for its suite of tourist spots throughout, however, Ratti Gali Lake sets itself apart with serene calm and beauty. Not only that, but the thrill of travelling to this place is also a whole new experience.

The lake is surrounded by the magnificent glaciers which are also the source of water for the pastures and lake itself. The Ratti Gali Lake trek is around 2 hours after which you reach a peaceful place that most people often refer as the “Jewel of Neelum Valley“. Moreover, it is surrounded by brown mountains that look like enormous walls protecting the valley itself. One added detail is the portrait of the Queen that is painted on a wall. Locals often refer to this as the throne of Ratti Gali where the Queen sits in all authority and glory.
